MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY

The Industrial Laundry business is one of our main areas of activity. We have several sites that are available for a working demonstration. The photo’s show the Jumeirah Beach Complex, consisting of the 7 star Burj Al Arab, The Jumeriah Beach Hotel and The Emirate Towers.

Icon Process Systems have recently completed a turnkey laundry plant package for the above hotels. This plant was installed and commissioned by our own engineers

The main concerns of a Laundry Plant are :

Cutting down the use of towns water
Cutting effluent disposal costs
Minimising energy usage by recycling warm water
Worrying about the impact of Climate Change levy on fuel bills

Icon Process Systems manufacture a range of membrane plant which can help you reduce the costs of your operations significantly.

Utilising our own ultrafiltration membranes we can recycle up to 75% of your incoming water and return it for reuse at around 35 C. You can then use this water for normal washing cycles or for warm rinses.

Units are manufactured in skid mounted modules for 1 to 10m³/h or in self-contained containers which means they are suitable for small hotel based laundries and independent laundries.

Plants up to 50m³/h for larger commercial laundries are assembled utilising standard 10m³/h membrane stacks,(see laundry photo’s).

These systems are fully automated requiring little maintenance or supervision, recycling the waste water when supplies are available, and shutting down when not required.

For work wear and work mats a Hydrocyclone or Lamella type separator for pretreatment of the laundry waste water may be necessary to remove the heavier dirt load.

In all cases the plant can be:

Small footprint to save on valuable site space
Completely automatic in operation
