Effluent Recycling

BENEFITS

50% Annual Net Savings

THE PROCESS

Effluent is collected from the laundry at temperatures ranging from 25-50 C. It passes through a screen to remove lint, and then through a sand filter to remove larger suspended solids.

After this filtration stage, the effluent is fed through an Ultrafilter stage which removes remaining suspended solids, colloidal matter, organics and high molecular weight surfactants.

The recycled water is returned at temperature typically between 30oC & 40oC.

The whole operation is controlled by a small PLC, which manages pump and valve operations according to demand and cleaning cycles.

At a recycling efficiency of 70%, real   savings will be  around £0.95 for every cubic metre of water currently bought from the local water supplier. For a medium laundry plant using 80-90 cubic meters per day this equates to an annual saving of at least £25,000.00 which is more than enough to fund a plant and achieve significant savings for a business.
